Fire remediation
After the fire is out, soot and smoke keep damaging what was left standing. We clean it up and protect the property.
What a fire leaves behind
Even a small fire spreads soot and smoke far beyond the room where it started. The longer they stay on walls, ceilings and belongings, the deeper the stains and the odor set.
The water used to put out the fire is a second problem. It soaks into the structure and has to be dried like any other water damage.
How we do it
Soot and smoke cleanup
We clean soot and smoke residue from the affected surfaces.
Odor removal
We treat the property to remove the smoke odor, not cover it.
Protecting the property
If the fire opened the roof, we cover it with an emergency tarp so rain does not add to the damage.
Water from firefighting
We dry the areas that were soaked while the fire was being put out.
What to do before we arrive
Fire and smoke
- Go back in only after the fire department says it is safe.
- Do not wipe soot off walls or fabrics. It smears and sets.
- Leave the A/C off until the system is checked.
If anyone is in danger, call 911 first.
Insurance
We work with all insurance companies, large and small.
