Mold remediation
Mold can only be removed safely when the area is sealed off first. We follow the full protocol on every job.
When you need mold remediation
Mold usually follows water: a leak that was never dried properly, a roof that let rain in, or an A/C problem. The signs are a musty smell, stains on ceilings or walls, or visible growth.
Scrubbing it or spraying bleach on it spreads spores to the rest of the property. Remediation means isolating the area, removing what is affected and treating what stays.
How we do it
Containment
Plastic barriers with zipper doors isolate the affected area so spores do not reach the rest of the property. Furniture that stays in the room is covered.
Protective equipment
Technicians work in full suits and respirators, as the standard requires.
Removal
Affected materials, such as drywall, are removed.
Antimicrobial cleaning
The exposed framing is cleaned with an antimicrobial product.
Sealing
An antimicrobial primer seals the cleaned framing.
Fogging
The area is fogged to disinfect and deodorize it. Air scrubbers and dehumidifiers run while we work.
From our own projects

What to do before we arrive
Mold
- Do not scrub it or spray bleach on it. That spreads spores.
- Turn off the A/C and any fan blowing across the area.
- Keep the room closed until it is inspected.
If anyone is in danger, call 911 first.
Insurance
We work with all insurance companies, large and small.
